Meath Chronicle, Saturday August 12th 2006

MEATH County Council is confident that the new quality bus corridor (QBC) at Dunshaughlin will be completed before its target date of the end of August.

The local authority says that the works are marginally behind schedule by two to three weeks but work will be intensified this month and it is expected that traffic restrictions will be lifted before schools reopen in September.

Current work includes preparing for wearing course, raising covers, putting up sign poles and traffic management.

The schedule is one week for the wearing course (traffic restrictions will apply), two-three days for white lining, one week for signage and one week for the footpath. The remainder of the time is for demobilisation and snags.
