Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me what would be the quickest or handiest route to take on Dublin City Bus from Ballybrack to Marley Park?

    Thanks in advance.

    Two options:

Get the 7, 45A or 111 to Dun Laoghaire, then change to the 75. The 75 will leave you at the end of Grange Road, there is a 20 minute walk to the park from here, depending on what part of the park you need. It is worth noting, depending on your time of travel, the 75 can be very infrequent.

    Or

Get the 7 to the O'Conell Street, then change to the 16 bus. The 16 stops directly outside Marley Park. As this option involves travelling through town, it can be prone to traffic delays, but both the 7 and 16 are much more frequent routes compared to the 75.

If you're making this journey by bus, it might be handy for you to use a travel 90 ticket, this ticket lets you board as many buses as you can within 90 minutes. Available in a pack of 10 from newsagents.

Another option based on MiniD's first option, 7 to Frascati Centre then 17 to Grange Road.

TBH, it's a little more than a 20 minute walk from the corner of Grange Road/Nutgrove Avenue to Marlay Park and it's all uphill! Neither the 17 or 75 are blessed with a frequent service.

Besides, if you were to use the 75, you would be better to get off the bus at Broadford (just after Ballinteer Community School), which is no more than 10 minutes walk from Marlay Park (presuming it's the area around the South carpark you're heading for).
