I'd like to start a thread regarding some infractions I've received from the moderator called 'Jap Gambardella'.
I've tried to contact the moderator in question but he refuses to reply even though he is obviously online.
The first thing that happened here is that I was given a straight one day ban from the politics cafe, no warning or yellow card was given.

This was last week, the ban is here,

Now, although my post was a bit strong, I had no warnings given, yellow card etc just a straight ban, for my first offence.

Since then, I have had 3 infractions from the same moderator, the final one today being the reason I'm appealing these.

I feel these are now becoming so commonplace that it's impossible to comment on the site without this guy infracting or banning me.

Perhaps these can be looked at and some or all be retracted as they seem to be quite harsh.
Once again, I've tried to contact the mod in question by PM several times, but to no avail.

I'll take a look into this for you. Seeing as you have already tried to establish contact, I'll also drop a PM to the mod team to let them know of this DRP. I would recommend giving them some time to reply however - mods here are volunteers with real world obligations.

Could I also point out that the no warning ban was because of a post aimed at a poster who was posting Google earth photo's and locations of a female Sinn Fein TD's house, alongside another 4 houses.
This got me seriously annoyed and as I pointed out at the time, any nutcase with a grudge could have then used that information to call to any of the houses in question, possibly getting the wrong house, to make whatever point he or she had to make.
I'm surprised that poster wasn't removed from the site on a permanent basis as he/she could have caused serious trouble for boards.ie, i.e being caught prowling and then claiming to the Gardai that he got the information here.
Just a thought.
