    http://tvline.com/2013/06/19/nashville-season-2-t-bone-burnett-leaving/

T Bone Burnett – the man responsible for choosing, producing and/or creating the songs sung by Rayna & Co. in Season 1 — won’t return as executive music producer.
Buddy Miller, Burnett’s second-in-command, will take over the post.
The in-demand music producer, who’s also married to series creator and exec producer Callie Khouri, never intended to stay past the ABC drama’s freshman season, according to The Hollywood Reporter
“We’re going to do Nashville‘s second season with Buddy and some of the other producers that we worked with,” Khouri told the site, citing her husband’s “overwhelming” schedule which includes film work and producing an upcoming Elton John album.
“T Bone set the gold standard for the show,” she added. “His commitment to the quality of the music, the sound for the characters and all of that was something that we were very lucky to get him for.”

He should stick with Nashville as he's doing a great job and let Elton and his fellas (i.e. Nigel and Davey) back into the studio so we can get some good old fashioned Elton music.

I don't really get the proposal, seemed way to soon especially as she had just broken up with him! To be honest I find them very boring together and to have very little chemistry.
I like them, but it helps that they are the only two in the show who can sing. Really like the show, but when Reyna sings its time to hit fast forward.

No, Raynah is not the greatest singer. Connie Britton is a fantastic actress but when she sings I really don't believe that she's a huge international Country star. Her two daughters on the show are great singers. I think they're actual sisters too. Likely a big career ahead for those two girls!

Just found this thread, good job too as I only seen the finale last night. Great show!Love the music, plot and character development.
The storyline with juliets mother was great, so sad!
Totally called the cowboy being gay too, hope they develop that further.
Lennon and Maisy Stella (Raynas daughters) are you tube stars and sisters in real life, bright futures ahead for those two!
So glad it got commissioned for a second season it has so much potential!

It was only last week that I copped that I had seen the two girls before when my sister showed them to me on Youtube.
I knew they looked familiar but couldn't place why.

    This is class

Really enjoyed Nashville, it definitely improved as the season went on, at times it may have been somewhat predictable but always entertaining. The acting has been pretty good, Connie and Hayden are doing very well in the leads. I am loving the daughters, the episode where Rayna let them perform on stage was great, two talented young ladies.

Looking forward to season 2, plenty of cliffhangers to be wrapped up. I am sure Rayna and Deacon will survive. I though the choice of songs in the final episode worked really well with the drama. Roll on season 2.

The two little girls were amazing too I thought.

Its just a shame about the one dimensional characters and overdone story lines. They have to be the most talented cast in anything ever. It's amazing to hear original music and like it immediately and there seems to be a stand out hit worthy song every few episodes.

I have to make sure I'm in the house on my own when I'm watching this anymore coz I always end up in tears!

    Anyone else still watching this?

I'm just after finishing season 2 episode 10 and a lot is happening in that episode! It felt like a series finale!

That Deacon and Maddie duet at the end of episode 12 was fantastic. I think it's the nicest song this season so far. Although Scarlett and Gunnar were pretty good too.

Yeah, Scarlett is being extremely selfish. How many artists get the chance she got and she throws it away for herself AND Gunnar. Someone needs to give her a smack.

Avery and Juliette, it's so obvious it's going to happen.

I think the past 3 or 4 episodes have been the strongest music wise. Can't wait to get my hands on the soundtrack.

Walking, talking bitch so she is!
Now we know why Scarlett is such a delicate little flower.

Also, the way Scarlett mimed that last song was weird. It looked like she was belting out a power ballad but that's not how it sounded at all. I found it very unnerving to watch.

    Rayna better pick Deacon

Charles Esten plays him Deacon so brilliantly

Oliver Hudson (Jeff) and Will Chase (Luke) are being promoted to regulars for Season 3

Not a bad finaé. There's plenty of material there for S3 anyway and, most interestingly, the girls pushing Rayna for a contract :). They're shockingly talented those two!

I take it that there was a mic or camera in that clock where yer man admitted he was gay? That'll be some fun early on in S3 I'd say.

When Rayna was looking thoughtful at Deacon's benefit I was sorry to realise that it was because she was watching Juliette and not paying attention to Gunnar and Avery on stage. They sound great together and she needs more acts for Highway 65.

They only left about a billiondy story lines open there! :pac:

Just finished up season 2 last night, watched the whole lot in the last week or so. The first half of the season was okay, albeit a little slow and I felt like I was waiting for it to pick up forever, lots of meandering with Scarlett, Avery, Gunnar and Scarlett's friend (can't remember her name), if I'm honest I don't really like any of these characters and I actually find Scarlett's voice, both talking and singing like nails on a chalkboard so I really hope she does feck off back to Mississippi, I some how doubt I won't be so lucky though.

The rest of the cast is pretty great though, Charles Esten and Connie Britton are just a joy to watch on screen both together and seperately, the alcoholic has been done so many times but Charles Esten manages to make Deacon a fresh, loveable and flawed character, he is probably my favourite of the whole show. Hayden Pannitierre did a fine job again this year, she consistently surprises me with how good she is.

This show can be really great at times and I probably will watch next year but there are so many characters that annoy me, that sometimes it can be a little hard to watch. The whole musical relationships between the younger cast is very predictable and tedious and out if the whole lot Chris Carmack (Will) is the only one I like watching.

I loved how the cut away from Michelle Obama giving an address for a little chat between characters and then back. Clearly Michelle is doing too much tv if networks are that blase about her. In fairness though it was well timed, it was straying into yawn territory.:)

I'm thrilled to see this show is coming back, it's definitely become a favourite for me this season.Much to my surprise it's the music that kind of makes it, in ep 21 they had an established country singer do a song and she wasn't a patch on the shows singers. I noticed they don't have as much country twang as real country stars too, thankfully. :)

I think it will, otherwise she will be standing behind a lot of tables during season 3! Could make for a juicy is it Jeff's/is it Avery's storyline!

The last bit of that last episode was horrible!!
Really love all the songs Clare Bowen sings though

Jeff is a creep alright. Awww I think Luke is in for a big disappointment. Their relationship never seemed real to me though.
