    Hi guys,

Can someone confirm this is true (or correct me if I'm wrong)? :

A '08 car registered before July 1st will forever more be taxed using the old motor tax rates (based on engine size) and CO2 emissions won't be considered even at time of renewal.

Half right, the owner has the option to change to the CO2-based system if it would make the road tax cheaper.:)

    A related questions:

If you import a 07 car from the Uk and register it here it will always be taxed under the old system, right?

If you import a 08 car will it be taxed under the new system?

    Oke

    Oke
Depends, if registered prior to 31/06 you have the option to tax it on the old system if this would be cheaper.
