Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will high speed memory card speed up phone?

I was just thinking about installing a bigger card in my phone.

It's a HTC Desire HD. After much thought I decided I don't need a more powerful phone for what I do so I was thinking of treating it to a new memory card.

If I put in a very fast 16gb card will it make anything faster? Any apps or their resources load faster?

Probably not, no. An app clear out might help.

Depends actually, is your phone rooted?

If it is and you are using APP2SD for your apps, a faster card will always be better, but you do not need it too fast, as I believe a class 10 card can be finnicky with the Android OS, manufacturer dependent - apparently class 6 cards are best for APP2SD/INIT2EXT4+

I am using an Ext4 partition with an 8gb class 2 card, its painfully slow, but I installed SD Booster and changed my swap to 2048kbps and the phone is "as normal"....

If you are just using a standard stock phone you would not really see the benefit.....

Yeah I'm just using the standard phone. Rooting my phone appears to be a bit difficult compared to other ones. So it's staying standard.

Don't most performance sensitive apps refuse to run from the memory card so it shouldn't make any difference except when loading downloaded maps and the like?
