    Mou might give it tomorrow.

Training pics look extremely promising though.

Mourinho's an awful pricktease in these situations. Always keeps his cards close to his chest. He'll never confirm or deny anything tomorrow.

I'd bet he simply confirms he's fit tbh.

Thinking of taking a 4 point hit and doing Falcao, Berahino and Sterling
out for Costa, Pelle and Diame (not sure on this one, would have 6.5 to spend and can't see many better options)

Doesn't really matter either way, whatever he says will come with a hefty pinch of "ehhh, we will see tomorrow afternoon".

I'd nearly be inclined to disbelieve what he does confirm.

Chadli would be my choice in this situation. In fact, I picked him over diame.

    Silva confrimed out :(

It means I have 9.8 for a midfielder (already have Cesc, Tadic, Downing, Dyer)

Looking at Ramsey. Is he worth the risk? Hasn't played in the last few, but you would think home to Burnley would be a nice one to bring him back in.

I'm in a funny position this week. I could do anything at all. i could use my wilcard, I could save my transfer, i could make one transfer or I could make two or three.

I can justify each of those decisions to the hilt.
    Begovic
Baines - Clyne - Moore (Naylor, Duff)
Fabregas - ADM - Sterling - Sigurdsson (Boyd)
    Aguero (c) - Welbeck - Pelle

    1) I could just leave it as is and bank the transfer
    2) Naylor to Chambers
    3) ADM to Hazard or Sanchez
    4) Aguero to Costa
    5) Sterling and Naylor to Hazard and Dummett
    6) Wildcard!!!

You know Hazard is just 1 yellow from a suspension right?

Im in the same position. Ramsey could be the option, you'd have to think he starts at the weekend.

What do people think of getting Ramsey in for Silva? Can't afford Sánchez, and Wilshere is out so I'm assuming he'll be starting.

Naylor to Chambers is a waste really, your defenders are ok for this week.

If you sell ADM you will regret it next week @ home to Crystal Palace.

Aguero to Costa...I'd expect both to score this weekend and it comes down to do you really want to sell Aguero!?!

Team is too good to wildcard.

I'd bank transfer this week and depending on how Costa goes try and get him in next week by making 3 transfers.

Took a boring transfer this week, Wilson --> Chambers

I reckon we've 9 games till Debuchy is back, 6 of those are decent fixtures. If he can just sort out his yellow card habit we'll be golden!

May just leave Costa out and opt for my "put money on someone you haven't got but are terrified will do well" to score two or more bets this weekend.

They are a source of mad income yo.

OK, this is the week when I've agonised more than any over my transfer(s). I made the mistake of letting Puncheon go down by .1 last night and it's made things very tricky or me, I now have 5.3 rather than 5.4 to spend on his replacement. I considered Zaha as a like for like swap but I assume he won't be available to play united next week?? Jedinak is on pens for Palace and for that reason alone he's interesting me.
Right now I'm strongly considering Milner as a cheap short term punt (5.3). Please correct me if I'm wrong but Silva's injury will mean Nasri will play through the middle leaving Navas and Milner as the wide men. I would think that Milner is ahead of Navas in the pecking order even if Nasri plays wide in a 4-4-2, results seem to be better with Milner in the team. Can somebody help me out here??

    Costa>Campbell and Henderson>Sanchez

    Guzan (Mannone)

    Chambers Reid Bertrand (Moore)

Downing, Sanchez (C), Siggy, Di Maria, Fabregas

    Pelle, Aguero (V) (Campbell)

I mentioned Ryan Taylor of Newcastle last week on here. He's the 4.4 "defender" who plays in midfield but was out for two years with an injury. He started against Manchester City during the week so is definitely a candidate to start this weekend.

Further research tells me that he's a dead ball specialist. I'm seriously considering bringing him in if he starts this weekend. The temptation of having a freekick specialist who gets himself into goalscoring opportunities and can also earn clean sheet points is very, very alluring!

If he starts this weekend, I think I'll earmark Luis -> Taylor, if Luis doesn't retain his place once Azp returns.

Interesting. I have Duff and Moore who could do with upgrading.

Would love to get Ryan Taylor in. He was a weapon last year or the year before! The two taylors were the cornerstone of my defense :D

Can't see him starting at the weekend considering he has been out so long but he is definitely one to keep an eye on going forward. He scores the odd wonder goal I remember from his Wigan days and got a couple for Newcastle aswell pre injury. You were very unlucky with the Luis clean sheet last week.

    Silva is out so..

    Silva to Ramsey?

Silva to Nasri? He used to play well after got injuried at the beginning of season...

    Stoke H
    Leicester A
    Sunderland H
    United A

tougher ones with CFC and United, but lots of relatively easier

As I recall, during a certain period of the 2011/12 season, some people had Raylor, Saylor and Naylor:)

    Had:

    Krul - Mannone
    Jagielka - Clyne - Moore - Wisdom - Vlaar
Fabregas - DiMaria - Sterling - Sigurdsson - El Ahmadi
    Pelle - Aguero - Sakho

Decided against making changes just for changes sake. Will do without Costa for another week. Fabregas and Sigurdsson are pretty much nailed on for me. Not sure why people are jumping off Di Maria, and Sterling has a decent fixture this week so I didn't see the point in dropping him yet (other than to save the bit of cash, but I'll eat it).

I've just done Mannone -> Forster, as he looks a keeper (pun intended). Question is whether Sakho is going to play or not? I got him at 5.5 so can hold off him dropping 0.1, and he's only at -5.3 on fplstatistics at the moment. If he plays (and scores again) I'll be seriously considering keeping him for the season with Aguero and Costa, as the extra cash that would be used to switch him to Pelle could be used to boost the midfield or upgrade Jagielka to Baines or similar.

Some good value in that Newcastle team if they end up getting their act together. 3 wins in a row, although they seem to have a lot of players of similar ability which may lead to rotation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

I cant get Barkley out of my head, I think he could be a great option going by some of Martinez's comments and the Liverpool press I have read on in impact/influence.

I'm sorely tempted to bring him in for Siggy, but may wait and see how he does this weekend.

    Guardian predicted teams below.

The problem with Everton is rotation. If you're willing to accept that your forward or midfielder may get rotated once every 3 games or so then go for it. Eto'o would be the greatest option in the game if he was guaranteed to start. There's effectively Barkley, Naismith, Eto'o, McGeady, Pienaar and Mirallas when fit competing for 3 spots behind Lukaku.

The Europa league doesn't even help like it does with Spurs. Eto'o played last Thursday and again on Sunday. A lot of people expected Barkley to start but he didn't. I'd love to have one of those Everton options but I'm apprehensive about relying on them. But maybe things will become clearer. After being burned too many times with Mirallas last year it's just my take on the situation

I wouldn't be looking to bring in Sterling with Studge still out. I'm considering Sterling to Eriksen myself; I can't see Liverpool thrashing Newcastle like in some seasons past and Chelsea next. Studge might be back after the next international break, but a couple Sterling blanks will see him price plummet.

Trying to decide on whether I make a transfer, and if so, what I should do.

Have done Hazard in, Sterling out this week already. Have 1FT left, 1.5m itb.

    Forster - McCarthy

    Baines - Wilson - Wisdom - Duff - Moore

    Cesc - Hazard - ADM - Siggy - Boyd

    Aguero - Pelle - Welbeck

I see my options as follows:

    1. Bank the transfer
    2. Wilson --> Chambers. Chambers is good value, and 6 of his next 7 games have clean sheet potential.
    3. Wilson --> Rose. I fancy a clean from Spurs this weekend (I say that as a Villa fan). Spurs fixtures also good until Christmas/New Year. Only thing is they don't seem great at home.
    4. Siggy --> Eriksen. Siggy has a few tougher games coming up and seems to be a little off form. But he is definitely capable of double figures against most opposition. Eriksen is improving, but similar to Rose, I'm not convinced Spurs are firing on all cylinders.

    Any opinions?

I did Silva to Ramsey. Looking for differentials in Arsenal-Burnley game. Armband for Costa.

Id bank you have a strong team this week and the 2 transfers could come in handy with pelle and fab both on 4 yellows.

Yeah, I think the Siggy --> Eriksen on is the least likely.

I've been meaning to upgrade one of my defenders for a while now. Aside from Baines, my 2 other defenders have done terrible (GW9: 1 & 1 pt; GW8: 1 & 2 pts; GW7: 1 & 1). 7 points from 6 appearances. Not switching Wilson for Chambers last week cost me 6 points. I feel banking the transfer will mean I'll just miss out on more points this week.

Nobody to talk me out of Milner for 5.3 with Silva likely to miss the next two league games? Whatever I've seen of city this year he seems to be getting chances, nobody else is jumping out at me for the max price of 5.3.

When he plays he frequently gets himself in and around the box. Never afraid to take chances. As long as he gets guaranteed gametime with Silva out then he's well worth a punt ;)

All I need is one more positive and I'm gonna go for it. :)

Yeah from his time at Villa I have a soft spot for him. He works so hard and is very good from set pieces. I think Silva takes most of City's corners/frees (someone might correct me on that) - so that would also benefit Milner.

The only issue I see is his game time once Silva is back. It could be another transfer you need to do in a few weeks.

    Foster - Krul
    Naylor - Chambers - Colo - Lovren - Cameron
    Tadic - Boyd - Hazard - Siggy - Sterling
    Costa - Pelle - Aguero

    2FTs 0.1m ITB

Plan for this week was Lovren & Sterling out which is still the plan but no one is jumping out at me! If I had acted earlier during the week I would have done Lovren>3.9m and Sterling>Sanchez but now Sanchez would need a -4. These are what I have it down to right now:

    A) Ivan & Chadli
    B) Ramsey & Kaboul
    C) Take the -4 and do Sterling, Lovren & Naylor>Sanchez, Moore & Wisdom (or another two defs for 8.4m)

A is the one that I favour but C is also very tempting if I didn't have Costa as Sanchez is a nice VC just in case he is a no show. Is there a better move to make?
