Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey.

I just bought a new external harddrive. I was wondering if its possible to put my DVD collection onto it as it'd be far handier than constantly messing with discs.

Is it possible to do this or are DVDs copy protected, and if it is possible what program would I need to do it?

It is certainly possible , although you'd need some kind of software to bypass copyright protection , where present . That brings up a grey area (afaik) in that I'm under the impression it's ok to back up your discs but not to share them . This is not a statement of fact - just my uninformed opinion based on that most reliable of sources - the internet :o
Also bear in mind that if you do back up DVD discs in their original form you'll rapidly run out of space on your external drive . Shrinking to .avi would make a big difference .

Ageed with the last poster, you can rip them but cant share. Actually is it outlined anywhere what you can and cant do?
