Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

All the radio stations seemed to have that TD Jim Mc Daid on commenting on the tragic crash up there. Why would they invite on a person who drove up the wrong side of a motorway while out of his head on drink? And him supposedly a respectable TD/GP!

    He's the local TD.

His stupid past doesn't change that.

Maybe for the same reason they put a fella who got his liscence without the hassel of a test in charge of the road safety authority?

    Place has form.

Gimps driving around like there is no to-morrow.

not the first time sometime something like this has happened.

Stop bollocking around and blame the jerks who motor around like madmen.

    it's obvious.

That Donegal crash was a tradegy but sadly I wasn't too surprised to learn there were eight of them in one car. I've lived up in the Inishowen penisula for a while and it was quite common for even taxis (mainly hackneys) to fill up Ford Transits which had 17 seats with nearly 30 people to ferry them back from nightclubs to their hometown. No-one wearing seat belts and everyone generally pissed off their head.

Jim McDaid was on the scene within a half hour as he was in the area that is prob why they are talking to him

I notice we have big ad campaigns running about drink driving, but the first thing we don't mention when eight people are killed in a car smash directly following a world cup final, with eight lads in a car aged late teens to early twenties, is how much drink may have been involved.

Or not... If there was none, that'd be worth noting too.
