Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ford Focus Heater blower not working

Looking for opinions here on the best course of action.

My fiancee has a 2002 Ford Focus 1.4 Zetec.

2 weeks ago, the heater blower stopped working.

After some research, I don't think it's the Heater Resistor, as the blower will not work in any of the 1-4 settings. I've also checked all the relevant fuses, and they are all fine.

So that leaves me with the blower motor itself or the blower speed selection switch.

I'm just wondering, if the blower motor was gone or stuck, wouldn't there be some sort of indication something when you flick the switch. As it is, there isn't a peep. Not a dicky bird. This leads me to believe it's the switch.

I just wanted to get some opinions here before I start pulling her dash apart. Mainly because I am lazy, and would prefer to go straight to the problem!! ;)

Let me know what ye think.
    Thanks.

Get a circuit tester or muti meter and check for power at the motor.

Or pull the radio out and check power at the back of the switch.

My money would be on a resistor though very common.

It's an easy fix, ebay is riddled with them.

Yeah, I might head that route first so. Seems like a piece of pi$$ job. Just sourced one from a breakers yard for pence. Will collect it and lash it in tomorrow and see if that does the trick. Thanks for the replies all.
