Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Just wondering if there's anyone here who did the one year LLB course in UCC?

I'm interested in a career in journalism, did my undergraduate degree in that, but would like to specialise in legal reporting in the future, so would this course suit me?

Any feedback would be great, thanks.

From UCC Website - Entry Requirements

Candidates must normally hold a Second Class Honours BCL degree from the National University of Ireland or have such other third level educational qualifications and /or professional experience in law as, in the opinion of the Faculty of Law, qualifies the candidate for admission to the LLB.

This might be a barrier for you actually doing the LLB!

Afraid I haven't done the course myself so won't be able to offer you first hand experience/info about it , plenty of information available here and here

    Hope this helps!

The LLB is for further and more detailed study in the area of law, it wouldn't be used as an introduction to or basis for legal knowledge. It's only one year because it's an add-on to a law or business type degree at UCC, or a stepping stone to specialised study - similar to a post-grad course.
