Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm in the US but I need to buy a DVD for my father's(in Galway) birthday. Is there any decent Irish online dvd shops? I used play.com before but their service sucked badly. Thanks in advance.

If there was they would be double the price of everyone else around (look at RTE shop, only Irish one I can think of). There used to be one called DVD Direct, who were there before Play.com on Buy4now.ie but they went out of business. :( Sendit.com are good.

CDWOW have loads of DVD's. I have ordered stuff off them before and they have free worldwide delivery and are quick and trustworthy.

Look at their .ie site as they have loads for different countries.

    What was wrong with play.com?

They're probably the best online retailer I've dealt with... unfortunately they have to rely on An Post to get the stuff to your door and problems can arise there.

http://www.sendit.com/ are based in Belfast if want to try them.

i don't know when you last used play but i use them all the time, and apart from sometimes being a bit slow to deliver (free delivery so can't really complain), i find them very reliable and incredibly good value most of the time

It took two weeks to deliver the last time I used them. Not good enough.
Also I just checked and the title I'm looking for they do not have in stock, not on cdwow either (Liverpool FC - 100 Greatest Moments Of The Kop). I'll go with amazon.co.uk.

Someone should go out and create a decent online store in Ireland, seriously.

I don't think you can blame the companies for all the delays in delivery, the common factor in them all being slow is generally anPost.

They haven't been very quick or trustworthy lately. Check out the thread about them in consumer issues.
I find play.com to be the best. Generally get my orders in four or five working days. Im in Cork by the way.
