my cd drive wont work

    hi. when i put a cd into my cd drive nothing happens. it doesnt play it at all and its not even shown in my computer!!! im sure some1 here can help me with my problem

    Is the drive itself showing as media in my computer?
    If it is then you may need to update the drivers.
    If its not then you'll need to reinstall the drivers originally got with it.
    Is it an internal drive or an external add on?

    Failing that it could well be shagged...
