Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Girls, I need recommendations for a good brow kit, currently growing mine in and my current ELF one is wearing off by 4pm..

Also, cannot recommend the no.7 mask I posted about enough.. it is amazing.

I love the wet n' wild one, I think the dark brown powder is a lovely shade and not at all red tinted like I found many of them to be. I find the wax good too but what I love putting over it is a clear mascara (I just use an essence one) and I find it really makes it last :)

The urban decay one is really good. I recently bought gimme brow by benefit and I really love it. So quick and easy.

After using up a tiny sample which I loved, I bought the full sized Clarins HydraQuench tinted moisturiser. Tinted moisturisers were never my thing, but this one is something else.

You only need a tiny amount, as the cream is so thick and luxurious. It provides a decent amount of coverage and has great staying power. It has a lovely perfumed scent. I'm thinking this is going to be my summer staple.

It was £30.00 but well worth it in my opinion. I don't think you would find a cheaper tinted moisturiser as amazing as this is.

I was going to buy a quad of MAC eyeshadows but, including the palette itself, it was going to cost something crazy like €58.50 (unless I calculated it wrong) so I got a palette of four eyeshadows in Inglot for €30 instead, as the quality is known to be very good. I chose the colours based on what I felt was missing from my Naked palette.

I got shades 376 (matte blue-grey), 450 (metallic cranberry), 329 (matte dark brown) and 43 (shimmery warm gold). They are nearly identical dupes for MAC colours, at just over half the price.

The quality of the shadows is great, very blendable and soft. I think I'll get another one soon! The girls in the South Anne street shop are lovely as well.

I got the rimmel match perfection in light porcelain after reading on beaut.ie that it was a dupe for YSL le touch eclat foundation. I'm not sure that its that good but I do like it very much, its very dewy. Its been a long time since I've liked a budget brand foundation! Reviews are mixed oneline, it seems it either suits your skin or doesn't! I got it from Amazon and it worked out at about €6.80 but rimmel is currently 3 for 2 in boots.

    541566_l.jpg

I had vouchers for boots so I bought the hyrdralauron that I've heard so much about here! I still have to finish my Visionnaire serum (use 2 times per day since January and stills still about half left! - its brilliant stuff!). Just wondering do I use this in addition to serum and moisturiser? Also got nanoblur before reading reviews (which are awful) but I'm going to chance it anyway!

^^ I think you use hydraluron under moisturisers and serums to help your skin absorb them even more. I've never used it though, so I'm not sure how best to use it :)

use the hydraluron closest to your skin before serum and moisturiser.

I went to Lush today to buy the Mint Julips scrub, €6.75, can't wait to use it on my flaky lips.

    http://www.lushusa.com/Mint-Julips/03057,en_US,pd.html

But then I saw the Cosmetic Warrior mask (€8.95) and had to buy it too :o

    http://www.lushusa.com/Cosmetic-Warrior/06094,en_US,pd.html

And then I got a nice-sized sample of the almond oil Charity Pot Hand and Body Lotion, which smells divine!

I also got the Bourjois Mega Liner, €9.99

I found those lush scrubs are just flavoured sugar! Could make your own..on a side note, I have terrible terrible lips, always dry and flaky even in summer..destroyed this winter..tried everything..(and nothing at stages to see if lips were 'addicted' to all the stuff id bought) ..still terribke. I started using bepanthan (ie nappy cream!) and have to say...the best thing ever! Lash it on at night, wake in morning and flakes just wipe away..only using three days at this stage but my lips are perfect! Paid about 6e in pharmacy for large tube of it,.brilliant!

I'll try the Bepanthen if all else fails!

I just used the scrub there and I really like it. I don't mind paying less than €7 for something that works, considering the jar is fairly substantial :)

use the hydraluron closest to your skin before serum and moisturiser.

No, its the final step before moisturiser according to Caroline Hirons,

Got the La RochePosay effaclar duo + today as well as the purifying gel - chemist was doing both for € 20. I don't have very bad skin but do get breakouts around my mouth and chin so hoping this helps

Just purchased the Avene Cleanance K gel in a hope to clean the gunge out of my pores. Didn't even know about this range until recently.

    http://www.boots.ie/en/Avene-Cleanance-K-40ML_1574/

Can anyone recommend a sheer sunscreen - apparently the Neutrogena one that they sell in the US is the biz but all the ones for sale on ebay and amazon have very near expiry dates? I don't really want to spend more than 20e.

Have toyed with this one but some reviews say its heavy:

I've been on the lookout for a mascara similar to Avon's SuperFull. I used to love it so much and would buy ten at a time.

Then Avon left Ireland and I had to buy "ordinary" mascaras in Boots.
What I liked about the Avon one was the wand.
It was plastic and thin with little plastic nodules on it.

Today I was in Penneys and I had a look at their mascaras (Essence) and I was delighted to find a mascara that looked exactly the same!!
It was called Essence Maximum Length (black and orange package) and it was only €2.49.
I was thrilled, especially as the Avon one used to cost me €12.50.

I also bought Essence Nail Hardening Base, for €1.79, and it's brilliant.

Their Colour 'n' Go nail varnishes are fab too.

Also got a nude-coral matte lipcolour for €2.49 and the colour is just beautiful.

I think I'll give Essence a try when I need more makeup :)

    I LOVE that mascara!

Bought the super dry festival kit in the airport - 25 euro for a big water bottle with a carabiner clip and inside was a black mascara, lip crayon, some water activating face wash cloths, a facial spritz and a rescue balm. Also bought a black eyeliner for 8 euro.

The eyeliner is really good its an eyeliner pen and I really like it so far. Im sick of sh*t eye liner pens! Threw out the rimmel one (hated it), loreal ones are meh, catrice one is okay but not great colour and eyeko one dried out quickly on me. I usually use soap and glory and its a good one but it was smudging a bit recently when I wear it working outdoors. So I am hoping this one will do the trick, need to try it while working outside to be sure.

The lip crayon I wasnt expecting to like much as im not a bold lipstick person but its really nice quite subtle and great over lip gloss.

The mascara I am really loving! wasnt expecting much from it but its very good its a proper black black colour and goes on well makes my lashes thicker and longer.

    This is the kit:
    http://www.superdry.com/womens/beauty/details/45158/festival-kit

the facial spritz - i just dont get these am I missing something? will it not wreck my make up if I go spraying it on my face during the day? I know its to cool down a hot face but cant imagine me getting much use from it in Ireland!

That Avon mascara is discontinued but you can usually get all their stuff on ebay for reasonable and I think theres an online shop also.

Have had bad luck with Essence and Catrice mascaras - like the twist up eyeliners - great for the old handbag.

Picked up Bourjois 123 CC Cream and Rouge Edition Velvet in Hot Pepper and Peach Club as part of the 3 for 2 offer in Boots

Not used the lipsticks yet (they're very bright!) but I absolutely love the CC cream - does exactly what it says on the tin for evening out the skintone but still leaves a very natural finish, and very light on the skin - doesn't feel like I've anything on at all so really like wearing during the day

I went on a bit of a splurge in Boots at the weekend...

Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm which totally lives up to all the hype

Nip Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads and Nip Fab Glycolic Fix Serum - loving these! I have good skin anyway but it has been feeling and looking dull recently, have used these since Friday and already seeing an improvement. I have very sensitive skin so whenever I used a physical exfoliant, no matter how gently, I got big red hot cheeks. After reading one of my favourite beauty bloggers evangelicising about glycolic acid I decided to give it a try and I'm delighted! I always would have thought it would be too harsh on my skin but it's actually less harsh

Caroline Hirons reckons that's the case in the UK anyway: http://www.carolinehirons.com/2014/04/lancome-hypnose-10-year-anniversary-and.html

Whether it'll translate into €10 here is another story!

Bought the Pop "Buzzing beauty buffer" (which is a vibrating makeup applicator!!) and "face magnet primer" set on Asos as they have a student 25% off unidays code offer at the moment (but was only 20% for beauty items though). It was a complete impulse buy, but reviews for both are very positive. Both are £16 each on Asos, but the set is £16 for the 2 and 20% off makes it £12.80 for the two which is great value if they are as good as the reviews say!

    Buy at asos
