Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Insurance company with no "administration fee"

Since short-term motor insurance apparently doesn't exist in Ireland but all insurers are obliged to offer a 14-day "cooling off" period, and since I need motor insurance for about 1-2 weeks while I get my car repaired and sold, I'm planning to take out a policy and then cancel it during the cooling off period.

I understand I'll have to pay a pro-rated amount for the days actually covered. But my current insurer insists on a €50 "administration fee," which makes this quite expensive insurance.

Anyone know of an insurer that doesn't charge an administration fee if you cancel within the cooling off period?
