Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Horizon box & HDCP

I bought a HDMI switcher as I'm out of HDMI ports on my TV to support everything (and to have proper surround sound).

However, when I try to use my Horizon box with it, I get a HDCP error.

According to the HDMI switcher manual, it supports HDCP 1.2. Is this the issue?

Annoyed I'm now yet again out of pocket with UPC (especially as I don't even watch that much TV these days).

    P.

I read previously on threads about HDCP that they use 1.3b.

Why would you buy a splitter without checking first and I'm even more confused as to why you seem to blame UPC for your mistake and the lack of hdmi ports on your TV?

HDCP has absolutely nothing to do with upc. It's a international standard built into almost every tv, amp, player etc.

When do you get the error message, only with horizon? have you looped the hdmi cable to the tv for surround sound or are you using pass through on your amp?
Are you using older hdmi cables in the system?
