Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi guys.

my wife has got a 32gb little cruzer usb stick.

it's been working fine all along, but she went to an internet cafe with it recently, printed stuff off.

ever since then, all the files on the usb stick are not accessible, and instead a file called: 'Removable Disk (30GB).ink' is present.

Here's an image of the file: c6def.jpg
I have tried 'first aid' in disk utility, but to no avail unfortunately:24b9onl.jpg

any help on this matter would be great, as there are some important files on the usb stick which my wife never backed up.

    thanks!

I presume she was using a Windows PC in the internet cafe; if so then she will probably need to use a Windows programmed machine to fix and restore the USB stick drive. It won't show up on OSX as it's not a Mac bug so there's little you can do unless you have Boot Camp or the likes of Parallel.

have you used this stick on the mac before?

If is a windows configured disk then you would need to use a bit of software to like Paragon NTFS to use it.

I would suggest plugging it into a windows machine, then back the stuff up to Dropbox or the like and then look at it again

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

Does she know if she did the correct "Eject disk" procedure on the Windows machine?

Does it still show up as readable on Windows machines?
