Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Usually has staff in it who know very little about trains. Is it a managers' office? Is it IE's PR/information centre? Is it Barry Kenny's office?

They are places for CIE staff to hide from the public, read newspapers and drink tea and are an institution. No self respecting CIE Manager would be seen dead on Platform 5, let alone have an office there. :D

Doe it really matter? Which bedroom in your house is yours? :)

I've been in an office on platform 5, but it was rather underused.

There are four offices on platform 5. One is used by the electricians one is a training room one is the foreman's office and one is the district traffic inspectors office.

None of whom could possibly be relocated to somewhere else to provide space for a waiting room for Rosslare line intercity passengers.

No offense to Rosslare line users but would a special waiting room really be neccessary? Only the Belfast train has a special waiting room. Anyway it makes sense to have traffic inspectors and foremen located in the centre of the system rather than in some office block away from the platforms.
