That's €1 per day more to tax than a 2l. It's all relative. Cars with slightly bigger engines are extremely cheap to buy in Ireland :)

Very decent car for very little money. Nice find, barura :)

Not sure how he managed to fit a new timing belt though :D

A generic "timing belt done" always leads me to suspect a dealer of sorts, and not anyone that has actually owned the car.

Especially on a car that doesn't have a timing belt :p

a miser on fuel, rolling them rims (which look wrong on the Z3).......I don't think so.

..and if he's so confident there's nothing wrong with it, why not test it early as its eligable and get a new fresh nct on it?!

    Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa..........

This has potential alright, a few hundred quid off and it's alot of nice car for small money. Nice spec on it too.

Funny that there is no picture of the very front of the car...other than that it is one of the better looking BMWs.

*Hateful yokes in my opinion. They don't look good, don't go good and the diesel engines give horrific trouble. The petrols engines less so but the 1.6 is fairly slow alright. The interior of them is the worst thing about them I think as well. Gearboxes are another weak point I think, not 100% sure on that though.

They are reasonably comfortable though and generally think the petrols are reliable.

*Source - Dad had a fair few on the fleet in work and often took them home including a few Almera's. I remember thinking it was the worst car I'd come across. :o

One from 2000 with 8months NCT for 650 with timing belt done, etc. That phone worries me though...

That must have been a tricky job, all the petrol engined P11 and P11-144's had timing chains, the diesel had two timing belts, one to drive the camshaft from the crank shaft and one to drive the injector pump from the camshaft.

Thanking you my good Sir, 'tis indeed good to be back posting about a Primera! I should have added that I think the second one you linked to looks promising, think they were a much better car. My elderly uncle who no longer drives had one and it took dogs abuse and never gave up. Good cars.

Ah bollox. I don't know much about engines to be honest... Must check in on that. Thanks for the heads up!

How is the tax worth €1000 on scrapage alone? Is the dealer able to reclaim the tax back when sent for scrap?

Once there's over 3 months of valid tax on it, it can be reclaimed.
