Wow, erm, assuming details in the post are accurate, I'm really sorry to hear about all that. D'you think you should try to attend counselling or therapy of some sort? Maybe you could be more specific in what's causing you upset if you want people to respond. Or try the Personal Issues forum.

Just wanted to respond so it didn't seem as though you were being ignored.

Hi Kiwalto, I read your post before it was edited and I'm sorry to hear about your bad news. The language in your original post was quite dark, understandably as you have had such a shock, and your sense of despair was apparent with everything else going on for you.

Look there are two issues at play here, the first is the news you received. I think it would benefit you greatly to read up on this and perhaps dispel some of the myths around it if you have not already done so. Your life will change, that is certain, but it is not over. Not even close.

The second issue is the bullying and victimization you are receiving. This is wrong and needs to be addressed. I understand you did not get anything like a satisfactory result from the gardai but I would suggest you try again and speak to a specialist officer. This link contains a list of LGBT liaison officers all over the country, contact one of them, they will be better equipped to offer assistance.

As suggested already I think counselling would be a good idea. Your mental health is every bit as important as your physical health especially in this situation, there are charities that can help you too if finances are an issue. Do you have a support network? Family and friends who can help you and most of all offer you reassurance or just be there to talk if you need it?
