Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

strange miniature VW campervan on M50

At about 6:15pm this evening on the slip road for the North bound Firhouse/knockylon exit there was a miniature VW campervan look a like thing in silver. It was parked on the edge of the slip road with a mirror effect rear window tint and a little black square hatch on the bottom right of the rear window. Very strange indeed, surely not a speed camera van in EXTREME diguise or maybe someone filming somthing? ...

Surely someone here must have seen it also, you wouldn't miss this weird little van made up to look like a VW Van, it had a blue stripe on the front of it. Curiosity is killing me on this one!.

Not really. More like a lite ace, or Bedford rascal van.

As a VW type 2 lover - I have to go on record as saying it's about a cool as fake Burberry, or a €10 Rolex.
I'd rather wear barbed wire britches than be seen anywhere near one of those things. Wouldn't you rather have something like this:

i saw this asshat yesterday, just after junction 13 heading north on the M50, he was crawling along weaving from lane one to the hardshoulder.
he would have been better just picking it up and putting it in his pocket and hitching a lift, instead of causing all the disruption he did.

Now that brings back memories, I used to have the "civilian" version of this, a Daihatsu "van", it had a 1 litre, 3 cylinder engine, non-permanent 4 wheel drive, it was a massive hoot!
