    Anyone here use juniper gear?

I want to build a hub-and-spoke vpn between 4 sites. Less than 10 users at each site. I'm strongly considering purchasing SRX gateways.

Have a demo using SRX VMs working but it still needs some more testing.

How fast are items shipped with next-business-day support? How are their technical support?

    Hi,

Whats the reason you have to chose Juniper for less than 10 users ?
Are you familiar with the JuniperOS technology ?

Personal,i am using NSA Sonicwall here and have nothing to complain, ask or question...so far ! :)

Also,hub-and-spoke,i guess, that at the hub is the main sharing resource(s) ?

    Have fun...

I work with Juniper gear regularly. If you're a techie type, SRX are one of the best enterprise-grade firewall series going. Not super user-friendly for a layman, but very functional and high-performance.

First-level support are not great in my experience, although if you end up with a real puzzler the second- and third-level engineers are really on the ball. For more basic stuff, you're often quicker checking user-driven forums (forums.juniper.net is the main one).

I have a little experience, used a SRX to solve a problem with overlapping networks with routing instances and double NAT.

I'm currently using pfSense which is fine but finding / building hardware is a hassle, especially when I want to ship off to remote sites.

Cisco licensing makes my head hurt and I'd prefer to have a single router / firewall device at each site. Linux background, the Junos CLI makes sense to me. I hadn't really considered sonicwall, might see if Dell will send me a demo unit as we already buy servers + laptops from them.

Yea, hub-and-spoke using static routes. Very little communication between spokes. I was able to configure a full mesh with OSPF, completely unnecessary and I feel like I don't have the necessary experience to maintain and debug.

    Thanks man, that's super useful.
