Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Corsa C A/C problem?

    Hi all,

    My Corsa C's AC doesn't seem to be getting cold. I've run it regularly every week and it chose to fail during the summer. Oh well.

    Anyway, the AC light comes on when I press the button, the revs rise slightly (at motorway speeds) but the vent temp stays the same. The car is an '02 and I'm wondering what I should do next. Any ideas?

    Usually means the system has sprung a leak somewhere and has bled out the refrigerant. A decent mechanic or auto-HVAC guy will probably cost a couple hundred to find the leak, fix it and re-gas.

    Get it recharged in Halfords / quickfit / advanced tyres... This is the cheapest thing you can try, and is the thing which will tell you whether you have a €60 problem (no refrigerant) or a €600 problem (compressor).

    That the revs rise, means that the AC clutch is engaging and turning something. This is good....

    After 11 years, the gas probably has just leaked out..
