Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I moved back to Drogheda last September and moved my kids to school there but I'm not happy with the school and want to move them in September, one boy into 2nd class and the other into 6th class.

Can someone please recommend a good primary school in Drogheda?.

    Many thanks
    Pamleco

Where are you living? A lot of schools on the southside appear to be oversubscribed. it may be easier on the north side of the town.

I'm in Riverbank, just up beside the secondary school St. Oliver's.....

Sorry I can't help you out as I don't know enough about the schools in the area only that my friends living on the Dublin Road side of town seem to have more trouble getting school places that those on the Dundalk side. Good luck.

Are you looking for a school within walking distance/ driving distance, i don't know if things have changed or been relaxed but over the boom time you had to be in the catchment area for schools, what kind of school are you looking for, mixed, single sexed( which there are not too many of) gaelscoil, people could recommend a school that they were happy with but you might think otherwise,

    Hi Blackbird 49

No it doesn't have to be in walking distance as I drive and so does my husband...I was looking for preferably a mixed school...Not a gaelscoil as my youngest was struggling in gaelscoil from junior to senior class. Does anyone know the primary school based in Bryanstown Manor or have any feedback on that?.

The school at bryanstown is called St Mary's parish primary school, it is built about 3 yrs now, it was an amalgamation of Fatima girls school and congress ave boys school, it has a lot of pupils around the 900 mark give or take, My 2 nephews are there and I have never heard them complain, 1 is in first class the other in 4th class, otherwise I don't know much more about it as my own 2 boys are past primary school and they went congress ave. as I said before you might not fall into the catchment area if it still applies but you could always make an appointment to see the principle if your interested in the school and state your case. Good luck
