Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Completely reinforces what I said about the time, cost and effort put into that car. Absolutely amazing looking. It's easy to put lots of money into a car, but to have it look that good and make the right choices with wheels etc. is difficult. Much kudos Paddy

Here's my new toy, loving it. Not a great shot, took this before I bought it - I've yet to get out and take shots from every angle! Next on my list when I can eventually get to it is the S4, dream on for now... loving the power in this though, 2.0T with 200bhp, I've just come from a 2TDI with 142 and there is a massive difference in this.

Yeah wouldn't mind a bit of snow to see how it does! It has certainly impressed me anyway in wet conditions over the last few days.

Lovely job and car as usual Paddy well done.

But this dash is screaming for a satnav retrofit :D

Way too much work & cost to retrofit iDrive, the iPhone does everything I need now (Nav, wireless music, OBDII access etc.)
What wheels are they Paddy ? Dare by any chance ?

    3SDM 0.01 in 19x9.5 front and rear.

I can take care of a retrofit and coding if you change your mind, I do these for breakfast.

I'm sure you are to be fair, but the cost of sourcing a complete dash, centre console, iDrive unit & controls along with whatever wiring is required won't be cheap. All to have something which I can already do with my phone seems a bit pointless IMO.

Yes not cheap by any means, in total all inclusive for the 3 series, it costs around 1200 euros +/- using used parts from my shop.

But you got to admit it is nice ;)

But hey, your car is more than grant and you are happy with it, I was just making a biased suggestion :D

Presumably not as mobile as Cork?
I work a day or two per month in Dublin, city centre, can you complete most jobs same day?

I would get the work done in Cork but no better sales tool than the pics you've posted, high quality of work.

I might have two big jobs in Cork soon, but I was told after XMAS. So I am not sure yet. Feel free to get in touch, my number is on the site, when you are around or just before.
If we are talking about tiding up iPhone cables/hardwiring them or even fitting a BT kit such as a Grom Audio, it is quick enough no big deal. Unless you have the OEM satnav, which would require me to remove carpet/passenger seat on the E46 back to the radio module in the boot to route microphone/BT dongle to the front.

I'll be honest, I'd get banned if I gave my honest opinion. Even if the picture had a decent backdrop; in a field, side of road, local Lidl car park as opposed to where joyriders take stolen cars to be ragged and burned, I don't think it would look too shabby then. There is potential, but not from this picture

    At least loose those wheeltrims!!!!

    Thank you bubblewrap :D.

Yes i know the car could be made better with proper alloys etc but i am a student and this is all i can afford. A little bit at a time is all i can manage.

"renofan" i'm sure when i get to your age i will have a better car, but thanks for your input. :)

It's the little things: The arch liners, get some simoniz back to black. What looks like primer above the bumper, a rattle can will sort in no time. And, please, a decent backdrop!

She looks tidy, no dents. Keep it looking well :)
