Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know where I would pick up a Thrustmaster T300 RS in a bricks and mortar shop in Ireland? I've a one4all voucher that I'd really like to use towards it.
My G25 is not compatible with the PS4 and I don't have a decent gaming PC at the moment.

I bought one from the UK shop (via Parcel Motel, as they only ship to the UK). I couldn't find it in any bricks & mortar store here, but I was trying to buy it very close to it's release. It was even difficult to find stock online at that stage.

Does amazon.co.uk accept one4all still accept vouchers? If so, it might be your best bet.

    Good luck with the search.

Doubt you'll have much luck, Thrustmaster don't even list Ireland as a reseller country, UK is the closest.

EDIT: Maplin stock thrustmaster and may be able to order a t300rs for you, no idea if they take the vouchers though.

I rang the three Gamestop stores in Limerick city today and they only have the T80, maplin only shows the T500 in stock and that way out of budget, little woods ireland have the T300RS so I might order from there.
h3000 sid you get yours and from where.

I've my DFGT for sale and I bet the minute its sold they will release drivers for the PS4 for it.

€409 from little woods seems to be the best price right now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

From €299 on amazon.de, no stock from them though. Playseat are selling it via amazon.de for €304.99 plus €29.99 shipping so €334.98 total. Its €369.99 directly from their website! Only one is stock though.

Anyway here's the link page with all the offers. http://www.amazon.de/gp/offer-listing/B00KSXV274/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Sorry I forgot I ordered the T300 GTE not the RS from little woods.

Was doing some browsing to see if I could get the t100 for Project Cars, not as simple as I would have thought!

    Why

    Why

Doesn't seem to be in brick and mortar and out of stock on Amazon and gamestop don't even have it as a product here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,088 ✭✭✭JAMES VTI S

IRL sucks. . Simple as. .

Slightly off topic I know, but can anyone tell me what the T500 is like please? I'm very close to pulling the trigger on one.

    EDIT
Scratch that, I didn't factor in the cost and time it would take to get a basherboards adapter to make my CSP's work with the wheel.
I'm gonna try and find an Elite for sale now instead, a minefield in itself apparently!

Ordered this Wheel today with a playseat challenge. Got 15% off too. Still expensive though. Have to hide the credit card bill for a while :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,088 ✭✭✭JAMES VTI S

    How much

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

    €515 all in including delivery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,088 ✭✭✭JAMES VTI S

I'm glad I didn't have to fork out that much by buying the GTE t300 I was almost in tears with the thought lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

It's the seat adding that posed the problem. I could have got the GTE like yourself but buying it separate and the seat separate was always way more expensive than buying the seat and the RS version together.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,088 ✭✭✭JAMES VTI S

Oh cool you got a seat also sorry I don't understand all the lingo

How the hell do you get in and out of the seat LOL

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

The wheel mount swivels over to the left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,088 ✭✭✭JAMES VTI S

It would want to lol or you'd be trapped.

That's something else alright, you'll get years of enjoyment out of it.
    Money well spent.

It's really compact when it folds up too, can leave the wheel and pedal on it, fold it up and lash it all under the stairs, hardly takes up any room. Grand yoke alright.

I'm giving serious thought to buying a T300 myself, the only thing putting me of is the Basherboards adapter for the Clubsport pedals.

What's the rigidity of the seat like? Can you feel much movement in it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

Haven't used it much yet to be honest but it's pretty sturdy from what I can tell so far. It certainly wouldn't flip over or anything like that and it didn't move around at all when I did have a chance to use it.

My main concern with any seat will be how sturdy the whole assembly is. At the moment I'm fixed to a desk and it get's thrown around the place during a season, it's constantly moving so I can end up twisted by the end of a race, (not drunk) as the table moving means the pedals, wheel and chair can be at different angles.

The only thing putting me off the seats I see is the monitor will be miles away from the back of the steering wheel. Currently the monitor is pushed right up to the back of the wheel so the wheel appears to be part of the dash.

All those problems would disapear with the rift though, so I'm apprehensive about buying anything until the rift comes out. My initial attempts at welding a desk out of steel didn't go too well.

If you have any remote interest buying the T300 before the year 2042, for your own sanity, stick your order in now for the Basherboards adapter. It just gives you a place in the queue and the $10 is refunded if you change your mind.

There is a huge queue. I put in my request around 3 months ago and I've not heard sight nor sound of a follow up mail. When I ordered it was around February and guys were posting on the forums claiming who put in orders in September. 6 months is a long time to wait, and the queue will only have gotten worse with the release of the T300. I'd say I'll be lucky to get my adapter by end of the year at the current rate.

I'd love to use the Clubsport pedals with my T300RS.

Well I'm clearly not as lively as you so I tend to not move much so the seat stays where it should :D I feel your pain on the monitor though, I move it right up to the edge of the desk when playing so its right beside the wheel which as you can see form the pic is right up to the desk, with the pedals underneath. I still need a bigger one though cos the oul mincers aren't as sharp as they used to be! That's my next investment. Defo like the look of VR too, we'll be taking a strong look at that myself at the time.

Mode light and button on my T300RS doesn't work. Don't know whether to return it or not. Seems trivial but then again it wasn't cheap so should work.Looking on GTplanet it seems loads have issues with this wheel and my issue is small in comparison! The wheel and pedals work fine so really the only thing I can't do is change the clutch and accelerator pedals around if I bought a T3PA and I can't change degree's of rotation on the fly. Annoying though.

I hear ya mate, when my G25 eventually died after many years of use i considered a T300RS but it just seemed to have too many issues, that was about 3 months back [i havent kept track on state of affairs since], i decided to go wth G27 as i saw it as another 4-5 years guaranteed use.
Any issues at all i wouldnt hesitate in sending it back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

Just worried I send it back and end up getting one with a worse fault! :D

If it's any consultation, that mode button is pretty much useless anyway. It generally gets reset every time you load into a new practice, qualifying or race session in most games, and in some games (such as PCARS), it won't work once you are in the garage.

Sound ta. Emailed them about it, might be a way to reset. Don't think I'll bother sending it back, the main functions work which is the main thing. Any idea if it's a one or two year warranty with them?

    Where can I get a T300 at a fair price ?
