Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this,
but with St Patricks day falling on a Sunday this year... does this mean all pubs will have to close at normal Sunday closing times?
    Al.

No, it'll be the same as a bank holiday.

    Does it really matter?
Everyone who wants to get pissed will be drunk enough at closing time, especially considering it's a work day

You're obviously from foreign parts, what a bizarre concept. Please explain.

Don't worry OP, you'll have done the traditional thing and passed out in a pool of your own vomit long before they stop serving.

I am indeed and have the bad habit of tumbling home because I am tired when I am drunk ;)

    Thanks all,
I've been getting mixed answers from everyone I've asked, including bartenders. Some say nobody will care if they stay open a bit longer, and theyre going as saturday hours because its a national holiday.
Thought maybe I'd find a pub manager or owner in here who might clear it up

St Patrick's Day is always Sunday closing no matter what day it falls on so it will be 11.

Its grand 11 or 11:30 wont matter one bit when you're out at 2

You had to ruin it, nothing like instilling a bit of panic in the masses.:pac:

The more pertinent question is where are us Irish gonna panic buy on the Thursday before Good Friday because the pubs are closed? North or South? That really is a national concern
