mobile left for repair, I think the guy lost/sold it

    As title.

    Left a phone (Samsung galaxy s) in for a repair with a 'specialist' must be 8 weeks ago now.


    Every time I call in to collect it, I've been fobbed off, by its at his friends/waiting on s cable/good news, part should be here this week.....(yet it never arrives from 'China'.

    I'm calling in this morning again, where do I stand if he hasn't fixed it by now, or cannot give me it back (broken or fixed)?


    I was intent on giving it to my mother in-law as a gift.


    Opinions please?

    Tell them straight away that this is unsatisfactory and ask for the phone back by Friday.

    Last day i was in was Monday week ago and I told him I'd be back on Wednesday (do today I'll be a week late) due to unforseen circumstances.

    I'll name and shame shop if he has no satisfactory answer today. :mad:

    You have the receipt from this place I presume to show you left your fone with them for repair?
    Is this a reputable place? Im concerned now as I have to leave my fone into a repair shop today and want NO hassle .
    8 weeks does seem like an awful long time for a repair though

    In saying that, he's never once asked for it, nor disputed that I've gave the phone to him. (if it gets messy he prob could though)

    What part of the country are you in?

    Might have to send pm if its close to me;)
