Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I don't believe that figure.

There weren't many games with over 1.2k in attendance, and there were many, many games with 800 or less.

Maybe, the always count the season ticket holders, regardless, if they turn up in Tolka or not?

I wasn't questioning the authenticity though, I was asking for a source to see if it was official because the way he said it made me think it might have been.

Until we get a separate thread for confirmed news too, it's not that easy to know which is which.

    Murphy to Rovers

Bolger would be an interesting signing for us. Hear Griffen from Dundalk was in talk with Sligo however not sure how reliable that is.

That's the average (compiled by a lad on foot.ie) from the official attendances released by the club, personally I thought it would be a bit higher.

Only season ticket holders who are actually at the match are counted.

Smashing player, tired and injured towards the end of season. Europe knocked the bollix out of him.

Would love him to sign for us but unlikely.

I posted on here that Leeds are supposedly interested, along with Derry.

I know a good few season ticket holders who go to the matches as volunteers (tickets, stewarding, shop, cameraman) but aren't counted...doesn't really affect the attendance that much though, I suppose.

Brushies far too good to sit on our bench. Love to have him back but he'd be a great signing for anyone.

Rovers and Rovers offered Coombes a deal.

Gonna go out on a limb and say if he stays fit and signs for the right teams he will play for Ireland one day.

Under contract with us till jan as an U19 wants to stay but others will offer him more than us.

Hes gonna be a smashing player. Hope we hold onto him but if Boger goes reckon his wages will be passed onto Coombes.

Callaghan and Heary signed up, Callaghan possibly both on 2 year contracts. Buckley, Byrne, Barker and Scully also signed up.

With the exception of Scully, very happy to have them back on board. 2 year contracts make me nervous though.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I think it's fine for manager and coach though, can't really see a scenario where we are heavily underperforming next season. Some decent football and avoiding relegation would be my only hopes for the season. Looks like we will at least have a stable pre-season this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Glad to have Callaghan signed on for another 2 years. Met him once earlier in the year. Seems like a really nice lad and his football philosophy is very intriguing.

Derek Pender and Roberto Lopez sign new deals with Bohs with Ciaran Nangle signing for them too from UCD.

Paul O'Conor signs for Drogs from UCD. Good signing.

    All from the Twitter machine!

That is a big chunk of that talented UCD side gone.

Big test for them next season.

Dave Cassidy is an excellent signing for Drogheda. Those 3 will reduce the average height of the team a good bit.

Reyaad Pieterse and Sean Gannon have confirmed via Twitter that they'll be leaving.

Whatever about Pieterse, I'm pissed off at cutting Gannon loose.

We rumoured to be in for Gannon, heard its game time he wants. But it was Croly who was most interested in him

Regarding Caso, my friend works with him. She said he's two more meetings before he decides anything. Where those two meetings are, I don't know. Was just what I was told.

    Sean Gannon signs for Pats.

    GANNON SIGNS FOR SAINTS
St Pat's are happy to announce the signing of Sean Gannon.

Sean moves from Shamrock Rovers where he made 8 appearances last season.

Sean is Liam Buckley's 14th signing ahead of 2013 season.

    2013 Squad To Date

    Ger O'Brien
    Kenny Browne
    Sean Gannon
    Conor Kenna
    Ian Bermingham
    Jake Kelly
    Killian Brennan
    John Russell
    Shane McFaul
    Jake Kelly
    Chris Forrester
    Conan Byrne
    Christy Fagan
    Anto Flood

Tasty squad so far but not mad about this last man back stuff.

Saw him play a few times last year, really impressed me. Think he is going to be a big player, one that Rovers will regret losing. Will he get game time at Pats though? Ger O'Brien is arguably the best right back in the league.

Bolger says he had re-signed for pats.
