Glue for rear view mirror?

It fell off the other day and I need some glue to stick it back up there, any suggestions? Its pretty heavy so I may need to make some kind of stand to wedge in there, unless I want to hold it up there for an hour as the glue drys!

get the proper stuff from the Motor Factors...ordinary super glue can ruin your windscreen by cracking it or pulling out a chunk of glass. It will be stuck on in seconds,

Use the adhesive kit from Halfords, but first remove the metal button from the mirror arm and remove any old adhesive from the button and window with a sharp blade. The glue will stick the button to the glass within 30 seconds so work quickly. Never use super glue as the windscreen is actually porous and super glue will permeate into the glass and can lead to glass failure.
