Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I like the new evan in ros na rún, his Irish reminds me of seamuse! I say he will have a big storyline next year as they brought in a new actor!

He is like 6ft 3 at least anyway!

Does anyone else like him or find him annoying???

Also i like Tina i think she is an unbelievable actress!

I'm confused, must have missed an episode or two.....did Jason cheat on Molly or how did he get chlamydia?

Jason contracted it from his night with Lee or so he thinks.

Mine too , I love it and I'd hate to see it finish :(

I'll be sad if it finished but the past few seasons haven't been brilliant. Plus they introduced a lot of new characters that are REALLY annoying.

Who do u find annoying on it?

It mightn't happen yet, they said IF the viewers keep going dwn they will have to cancel it! Even at 70000 viewers its still one of the top 10 shows for tg4, its just cost so much to run a soap!

Molly, Martina, John Joe's daughter. Grace/Alice was really annoying.

Jason contracted it from his night with Lee or so he thinks.

no Molly caught it off a student called Guy. She gave it to Jason. Brid told her to say nothing and allow Jason to believe he was the carrier because that if it got out Mollys repetition would be ruined

exactly - not exactly believable! I loved O'Dowd and all his storylines.

Last in the series tonight :(

Bríd receives a mysterious call from an old friend and is thrilled to discover that this person is coming to live in the village. Keeping the news to herself, Bríd promises Vince that she has a wonderful surprise in store for him. Who is this mystery caller coming back into Bríd and Vince’s life?

    Guess who? :D
Meas tú go bhfuil sí ag súil.....

Hmmm wonder who that could be?:p:p:p

Hope there's a good cliffhanger this year, it will be hard to beat the end of last year's season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,071 ✭✭✭julyjane

There could be a cliffhanger involving
Barry, either with Frances or Tina or both

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,543 ✭✭✭JerryHandbag

Well that last scene was a bit disturbing

    Barry ya durty fecker

Barry gives me the creeps (even before that last scene).

I don't think it was as good a cliffhanger as last year (but that would be difficult!)

Angela's baby daughter Saoirse died, leaving the village in shock. Micheal (Saoirse's father) was devastated

    And remember from years ago
Vince is carrying some sort of gene, that's why he didn't want to have children with Dr Sinead when they were married, but I'm confused as to how he managed to have Riona, Roise & Donnacha though. I didn't watch it back then, only remember my mother saying it

    But
He did have a child with Sinead , a son called Oscar

But she was raped by a man called Gerry who was a brother of Vince's first wife. Was it proven that Oscar was his or Vincent's? She hid the pregnancy from Vince for about 5 months.
God that programme is like Eastenders sometimes!

I haven't watched much of the recent seasons of Ros na Run.. is the naming of Mack's son Robbie anything to do with the former character Robbie Lynch?

Could Aisling and Bernie be twins?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,395 ✭✭✭pooch90

Twins wouldn't make sense though, why keep one and give the other up?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere (either in a TV guide or on the website) that
the beginning new series "would feature a shock murder and the appearance a long-lost twin", so I'm thinking this must be it. Unless the thing I read had it wrong (which is possible, given I can't find it now!)... but they're definitely sisters anyway. All is revealed next Thursday, acc to the blurb on UPC

but if they were twins Bernie would have

a: found it strange that they had the same date of birth
    or
b: Claimed she couldn't be related as how could her mum have two children in the same time period!

given the history of Bernies family would another sibling be sinister or nice? :pac:

Are Bernie & Aisling sisters in real life , if not Aisling has been very well cast they are very alike.

The actresses have the same surname (Ní Flahartha) so they probably are.

    cool so Bernie
    has a twin

can anyone else remember in the episodes with Bernie and Liam, we know she had brothers who were all trouble, but i though there was an older sister too?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,201 ✭✭✭languagenerd

I'm starting to think Aine (Frances' daughter) doesn't really exist and is a figment of their imaginatioN :pac: She's hardly ever on screen. Sometimes they say things like "I must go pick up Aine" or "Give Aine a kiss for me" but never do, and other times they're in the flat at times of day that she should really be there, but inexplicably isn't.

Something for the scriptwriters to consider - "FRANCES ADMITS AINE DOESN'T EXIST" :P

I wonder what the rest of the story is though! You know how Berni
told Cathal that she thought there was more to it. I thought the whole episode was a bit weird, dropping that bombshell and not really going back to it. Aisling and Jude just disappeared and Berni went off for drinks with Cathal...

well from the spoiler for tomorrow night it would seem
Bernies dad died before they were born
but im not sure how that ties in with older episodes...

also WOW at Grace i was just sitting watching thinking
thank god the actress has one of those cushion things on to take the blows, then she actually pulls the cushion out!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,071 ✭✭✭julyjane

I must have missed something, when Grace pulled out the cushion I thought that she actually wasn't pregnant at all and had been faking the whole thing  (Not using spoiler tags because the episode has been aired)

So is she or isn't she?

yeah she is faking the whole thing,

what i was getting at was
the scene where she was punching herself in the stomach i couldn't help but think the actress playing her must have been glad to have the cushion belly to punch. (so it wouldn't actually hurt her) as at the time we thought she was really pregnant.

then as i was thinking it the character pulled out the cushion :pac: it was just weird timing....

im not surprised Grace/Alice is faking it though,

can't wait to see what happens when the baby is supposed to be born, or will she 'lose' it.
