Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Switching from Sky to UPC

    Hey lads,

I have a question about switching from Sky to UPC. I'm currently getting TV, home phone and broadband with Sky. I want to switch to UPC (for TV, phone and broadband), but will they help me contact Sky about the switch and transition services over to UPC or will I have to call each company to make arrangements? I'm not sure how this works so I wanted to ask anyone who's done so before.

The main reason I'm switching is because Sky still doesn't have fibre broadband available and I'm really tired of the constant disconnections at night time.

All you really need to do is supply UPC with your UAN (Universal Account Number) and they will do the rest. You will also need to speak to Sky to inform them you are switching but you will be talking to them for the UAN anyway. BTW, they are obliged to give you the UAN so don't take any line from them saying you have to ring back or that kinda crap. They WILL try to offer you stuff to stay but just say you are going for UPCs fibre broadband, they cant compete with that. As long as you are out of contract with them, one phone call will suffice but my personal experience with Sky is that they are painful.

You will have to contact each company individually. Provide UPC with you UAN to keep the same phone number.

Before you cancel ring sky's broadband team and see if they can do anything for you. I have had both and sky's TV is definitely better, and have had no problem with either broadband. If I were you I would think about only swapping the broadband, as if you swap the TV you will definitely be disappointed.
