Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Income from your partner is taken into account for your Jobseekers Allowance, regardless of where the work is being done.

If he is working in another EU country, that country would be the primary country responsible for paying family benefits (child benefit/FIS, or their EU equivalent). If the amount you would get in Ireland would be more than the amount you would get in the other EU country, Ireland will pay a supplement.

You will need to check out what the equivalent of FIS is in the country where your partner is going, and whether he will qualify. For example FIS in Ireland is only paid when the job is expected to last 3 months or more. The criteria may be different in other countries.

For information on moving about EU, you can contact the EU Commission office in Dublin - (01) 634 1111
