Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Was a bit surprised to find my name down towards the end of the monthly medal list.

    Gross 87 and a Net 87.

    I'm a scratch golfer for the day! Golfnet also saying 0.0 is my exact handicap. Beat that.

    Nearly there. 4 over in the Scratch Cup in Limerick on Sunday gave me a .4 cut.

    Just on that, why would this not even be showing up on my away scores on golfnet yet?

    Just noticed I wasn't on this for 2014.

    Went up as far as 9.0 but things have clicked into place recently.
    Getting cut regularly without winning any prizes though :(

    My goal was 6.0 but i think i might be able to go lower.....

    In a vey similar situation, just can't compete with all the 20+ handicapers shooting the lights out. Still though after nearly two years heading in the wrong direction finally a positive update.

    Crept up to 9.0 in April and again in June but since then have gotten cut 4 times for a total of 1.8 shots without a single prize. Shot my best ever round yesterday in strokes off the back sticks, +4 gross of 8 handicap to beat CSS by 4 shots for a 0.8 cut and didn't even feature. Competition was won by a 24 handicapper who shot a nett -8. Conditions were ideal but somewhat disheartening when your best ever isn't even close especially in strokes which should intimitiate the higher handicapper and their relative lack of consistency.

    Seeing that CSS going to 37... :(
    My 40 won't trigger the potential of an ESR now but I'm hopeful that I'll get to my goal anyway. Could have made it a lot easier but all is good.

    Big change from last year when I hated this thread as buffers seemed to be a win for me.

    Heads up to anyone in a similar boat this summer. It ain't nice but it makes it all the sweeter.

    Finally made my target. Went out to 12.7 over the last couple of weeks but got a 0.5 cut today in Monthly Medal for a net 2 under 69.

    20.0 | 12.4 | 12.2

    Yee hawww......

    Quick question, for 2 under standard scratch why did I not get a 0.6 cut? Is it due to the changeover from 13 to 12 for the first 0.3 & then cuts from 12 are 0.2?

    Yes, 12.5 is the seperation between category 2 and 3 so you'd be cut from 12.7 to 12.4 for the first shot which then brings you back into category 2 so all subsequent shots would result in cuts of 0.2, in this case a total of 0.5. Well played

    Got a serious chop yesterday. Cut .8 for the monthly medal and then got cut a further shot because I broke standard scratch by four shots twice this year. Bit harsh on me I think but that's life.

    In the same boat as Shane007 above, just made the transition to the land of 0.2 cuts. i hope to enjoy my time in this happy land!! Think it might be a stretch to hit my goal now but I'll keep going....
