Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well lads i said i would throw up a few pictures of my new dogs pins, not as good as a lot on this but they will do me fine nice and easy to clean. Not finished completely either need to build second double dog house. And might roof the whole lot eventually but as you can see could easily divide these 2 pins into 4 if needed be. 2 pins in total are 24ft x 10ft. Fences used were Security fencing. Cow mat also in floor of double dog house and will be in second one when built for other run.

Concrete put down and was lashing all day(typical)

So there it is lads feel free to give me advice etc....Going putting in a light on the back wall of each pin and will plaster it also. Thinking of putting down 2 course of block on edge and sitting my fence on top(plastering as well) but i will see some my friends think its fine the way it is....but ye know yourselves......The Mrs doesn't like the sight of the poo out the back window.

Great job, its nice to see people putting some taught into building their dog kennels, is the galvanise roof insulated over the double dog bed as in the winter with frost ect it will drip down on the dogs, automatic drinkers are the way to go if you have access to an insulated water pipe, once again great job and well done your dogs will benefit from a good set up like this.

the first couple of photos looked like the shell of the pen might have been a bit weak but it turned out smashing mate. Looks like a professional job.

You'll just have to extend to make it bigger now next ha

Ya i thought that myself was going to build a complete frame but the fence is so strong once the roof and door frames were on there was no need.

a cousin of mine had a racoon pin out his back and sold the racoons and said i could have the fencing. Only thing that cost me nothing luckly enough. They very pricey

. Thinking of putting down 2 course of block on edge and sitting my fence on top

You could put two lengths of decking, one on the other, across the front to hide dog poo...might be quicker & cheaper and would tie with with garden deck.

    Great job so far!!

Great job! Is that a gully running out through the wall in pen on the left?

I'd add a wooden platform for dogs to lie on, especially in the hot weather! Keep them off the concrete!

I'd love a garden like that.

very tidy job alright.they only thing i will say is the timber dog house they will chew it at some stage and you will be sweeping it up alot.but that will be over time.what you could look into is coming off the back wall with blocks and making your dog houses out of that.have the roof on a hinge for cleaning/pups the fall is perfect as is.Then have a cow mat on top on the roof as your raised area for when the sun is out.get the lighting in asap these nights are closing in

Ya I have a big florescent light on the 2 dog pins for cleaning etc....they go up on the roof as it is. Ya my bigger dogs don't eat the timber at all its just pups and will have my own bitch in pup February so will have to do something for the other pin.

your sound so fella.some dogs are a disaster for chewing.i made mine out of timber thats the only reason i was saying.i priced the pvc look like kennels and he want 350 sterling for one.not a chance i was paying that.im going to add a other run on the end so their will be 4 runs.put a shed/run on the 10x10 raft.something like this.yours looks very well it blends in well with the garden and the shed at the back.you made some saving on the mesh thats expensive as you know.id be very happy with your set up
