Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sam Knows has been doing broadband quality surveys for the European Commission for several years (report downloads 2012, 2013, 2014). Ireland doesn’t figure yet under the FTTx category, but our Cable stats do, and they’re good.

But what about xDSL, the predominant fixed-line technology in rural areas? How does Ireland rank, and are we getting any better? It turns out we’re either worst or close to it under nearly every heading (Promise vs Delivery, Download Speed, Upload Speed, Latency, Packet Loss, DNS Resolution and Failure Rate, Web Browsing, VOIP Jitter).

The charts for the 'web page loading time' category are below.

    First up, 2012….

    then 2013...

    and 2014
