Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I recently got hold of an old school lab bench complete with graffiti some of which dates back to the 1920s and 30s . I stripped the old varnish off the work top as it was not great, however to my horror the Mrs want to paint the bottom cupboard doors and drawers not to mention paint over the graffiti. What your opinion any help advice appreciated

Post a link to a image hosting site instead. I think it depends on the graffiti in my head it sounds like it looks pretty cool!

Like I said earlier, don't paint
    There is a pattern here.

I'd love to find out how you plan to tell the other half.

I sell furniture paint but in this case I think I would leave it as it is I like the look of it.

If you lose the battle you could make a top that sits on top and comes down around the edges.
    To save the Graffitti.

Good luck digging the heels in

As above- don't paint, just give it a good clean with sugar soap and hot water. I'd love a piece like this.

Would be an awful shame to paint that. It has loads of character as it is, whereas painted it could be any age.
