Nokia 3109 - is it worth unlocking?

    I've just had a quote of €20 to have a Nokia 3109 - which is locked to the Vodafone network - unlocked. I've looked at the Vodafone pre-pay options & there doesn't seem to be many suitable packages.

    Is it worth paying €20 to have it unlocked? Or does anyone know of a DIY method of unlocking it? It will be used as a work phone.

    I initially planned to get a dual-SIM smartphone but they don't seem to be as good as single-SIM phones hence now exploring the above-mentioned option and getting a separate smartphone.

    Would be grateful for any thoughts on the above.
