Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

True Life vs True Brite

Saw on an earlier post that True Brite was recommended for display. However the Dell Inspiron, which I'm looking at, has True Life? True Brite is an extra 100 Euro+. Does anyone know what the resolution is like with True Life and if it is recommended to go for the True Brite option. I will be using the machine for home use and internet access. Thanks

Sorry, have some more questions. I want to run the MS Office, need internet access and am looking at the following spec:

17" screen - for ease of use
Windows XP rather than Vista (recommended)
    Intel 1.6 processor
    hard drive 160 GH
    2048 memory
Bluetooth required for fast internet access?

Was looking at both Dell Inspiron and Toshiba P200

Would appreciate any advice, many thanks

The spec looks good. Bluetooth is a form of wireless communication between devices. I don't think it has anything to do with internet access. It is commonly used for connecting to your phone wirelessly.

I think truebrite just means that the screen is brighter. I haven't used either a truelife or a truebright screen so I can't comment on whether they are good or not.

aren't they both the same thing, one is what toshiba calls their glossy screens, the other is what dell call their glossy screens

A quick google seems to suggest you are right.

Thanks for that. Funny how Dell were willing to charge me Euro 150 more for the true brite screen!
