Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Please excuse what is going to sound like a really stupid question to you guys!!

I have moved into a new house and there is an account with bord gais and electric ireland.
I thought you either had electricity or gas but not both?

    Is this unusual?

What would typically be powered by gas and what powered by electricity?

Thanks in advance for any help.

All the electrics run off electricity (lights, anythign with a plug)
Home heating can be either gas or oil (I assume yours is gas)
The cooker can be either electric or gas

If you have a Bord Gasi account you probably have gas heating and possible a gas cooker.

BTW, you should price check all suppliers of both and get the best value.
