We are installing a stove but can't decide on a matt or enamel one. Any pros and cons of either?

    Enamel Pros:
    Looks much nicer
    Easier to clean
Don't have to regularly paint with high temperature paint

    Enamel Against:
If it chips, rarely can be repaired

    Matt Pros:
    Doesn't chip
Can be re-painted to revive look

    Matt Against:
    Can get grubby looking
Needs to be painted regularly with high temperature paint to keep look
    Does not clean so easy

From what I saw, enamel are ridiculously expensive.

there is a 200 euro difference in the matt and enamel finish on the stanley cara insert.. matt does look more traditional but it depends what look you are after..
