Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey folks,

I have a noise coming from front right when lightly pressing brake pedal and when manouvering in reverse.

Car is a 00 Nissan Maxima.

When light pressure on brakes I get a sound almost like a ratchet being clicked, but when reversing the noise I get is a distinct thud with a slight jerk sensation.

    Make sense to anybody?

    All help appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the car, but to me it sounds like the handbrake in the rear drum is giving trouble. The clicking could be the auto wear mechanism, and the thud in reverse could be from the shoes sticking slightly.

Problem there is that the noise definitely seems to be coming from the front right?

Unless it is a case of Transference, I had that in the Legacy, noise seemed to come from front right, then front left CV joint fell apart!

    Will look into it again.

    Cheers.
