Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Costa for this gw, Sturridge for the following one, then Kun back hopefully the gw after H to Norwich!

Costa could be a great shout, can see Chelsea responding to all the criticism and hammering Villa.

Yeah i'm tempted, though i'm already in -8 territory for this gw haha

Looks like I'll have to go back to BUIB

Costa or Pelle for me it is.

Upgrading Wanyama to Walcott and Aguero to Pelle did for a brief moment cross my mind.

I'm probably bringing in and captaining Costa this week.

Yeah, you're probably right. I'll definitely leave it this week as I'm already -4 (going Pedro -> Mata and Gomis -> Pelle which would have roasted me on price changes if I didn't do it early) and really don't want to make it -8, but if the torn hamstring is the diagnosis then he has to be shifted really.

I'll come back to it next gameweek rather than wrecking my head over his replacement now.

The only good thing about this Aguero Injury is the 132k people who transferred him in before the international games. They'll likely have torn up their teams and taken pts hits to do so. :)

I swore never again after the last time, he's a ticking time bomb not worth the hassle.

Ya I can understand that, I've always seem to had him at the right time though so I'd be more inclined to take a chance. Captained him for his big haul at Swansea last season which gave me a huge boost in my private leagues.

Torn makes it sound like its fooked. Any budding physios have any insight?

Edit: I see the comments mention 6-8 weeks.

I'm sure with the best help that money can buy, they'll have him back in under a month

I think us nerds should really view this as an opportunity to show what we are made of, we've already put one over the casuals after last weekend, now we'll need to show we're made of sterner stuff than the part timers as well:o

Bony could be a good choice but I 'd have worries about his rotation with Iheanacho.

The other problem with Bony is that if Aguero is eased back in they will be taking minutes off each other. I was thinking of Bony initially, but I think I'd rather have someone who's going to playing 90 mins every week until I want to get Aguero in, which will only be when I'm confident Aguero is going to play 60-70 minutes plus each week.

Soooo I hear Aguero is injured then....

Nah, he still would have destroyed people that refuse to spend 13m and reduced some of the variance with captaincies. Guess I'll be on Sanchez(c) most of the time now even though he only let me down last season with the armband

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,254 ✭✭✭✭km79

looking at a few interesting options now
aguero to Costa and mahrez to mane is one
aguero to pelle and mahrez to hazard is another
not sure I'm brave enough to sell mahrez though
and not sure I can ever get Costa back in either
still its made things interesting again and we got the big haul out of aguero which means he will return
and one parting gift is yaya is now back on pens so I won't bother with him to KDB

Yeah, but I'm backing myself to beat those people in any case. It's the sort of people that would be informed enough to post on here that I'm looking to beat and Aguero never really gave me a differential against you guys in any case, since way back.

3 weeks is definitely enough to get rid of him, after the 3 weeks he'll be eased back in and not playing full matches for a few weeks after that and then you'll have to see if he has a recurrence. Bye Bye Sergio, thanks for the 50 pointer parting gift.

0.3 short(in my case) for straight swaps I should mention... I have 0.5 i.t.b. though so no problem

    Aguero > Costa.
    Mahrez > KdB.

    Already have KDB.

    Sanchez, KDB, Mahrez, Walcott, Payet
    Costa, Igahlo, Martial

    Worth a -8 ? Not sure tbh....

Seeing as i got rid of Yaya I've no City attacker. Will probably have to do Aguero to Bony.

I dont want to sell Mane, Mahrez, Hazard or Sanchez yet. If i hadn't sold Yaya I'd have kept him now and got Mane for my 5th mid.

Sturridge appeals as the direct Aguero replacement otherwise.

David Silva just gone off injured for Spain after 9mns

.@21LVA has limped out of @SeFutbol's qualifier against Luxembourg after nine minutes. He's replaced by Juan Mata. #MCFC

Silva and his glass ankles just not worth it with KDB around

There goes the other half of my City attacking cover.

Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

    Think I'll have a cry.

Really hope anyone didn't make a move to bring Silva in when they found out Kun was out! Talk about bad luck for the City team.

Jose style move, not the craziest idea I have heard either.

City are really having a rough time of it with injuries this season.

City are really having a rough time of it with injuries this season.

What odds De Bruyne gets a kick next!

Question is how much will it dent their attacking effectiveness. Less likely to be scoring 5 or 6 maybe.

Is Mahrez injured or something. I know he was dropped for tactical reasons in the last gw but he's been the most consistent points getter so far this season. What am I missing?

Raneiri doesn't have him in his own FPL team but his rival does?

can't see any other reason to drop him.

Sergio Aguero suffers grade-two muscle tear & could face up to eight weeks on the sidelines: http://t.co/8tzEP9JXzM http://t.co/cB55UN02vR

    Latest speculation from Sky..

" a grade-two tear to the hamstring can require anything from two to eight weeks to recover from and the striker has a history of hamstring problems."

Grade 2 not as bad as grade 3. Could well be back in under the month if that's the case

One blow after another for some managers.

It does ruin the differential aspect of KDB now though.
