Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will any City players survive the week! Sanchez and KDB are the two I have in mind. We'll see who survives till next weekend!

Watford has only conceded 1 goal in 4 home games this season and that was a penalty.

    Sanchez only back from internationals.

Not sure Sanchez is a good idea.

With 5 goals & 5 assists this season (majority in last few games), playing for a team on form & against a team who always ship goals (Leicster) I am gonna put it on Pelle.

KDB is the other alternative, question marks over City scoring so many now & the likely spread of where the points will come from

Sanchez. I have an awful feeling about this week but I've had two really great weeks, so I'll be okay with a crap one.

Costa C, Pelle VC (I had it on Pelle before I brought in Costa).

Watford have been incredibly solid at home, they kept clean sheets most notably against Swansea and Southampton, two teams that were otherwise in good scoring form at the time.

That said, if Arsenal get an early goal then all bets are off and the game will open up. Arsenal put how many away against united in the opening 20 mins?

If you're captaining Sanchez you're effectively banking on an early goal to get any joy out of this fixture imho. They've shown they're more than capable of this against united but the international break could make for a sluggish start to the game.

KDB is a viable option but I'd be concerned about city's creative potential with so many key players injured.

I suspect Costa will be all fired up, the down side is you can practically discount 2 points straight off the the bat for the mandatory yellow he'll pick up (if not worse).

What's holding me back from Costa is how poor Chelsea as a team have been. None of the team seem to be in good form. Now, I know it's only Villa but Chelsea haven't set the world alight against anyone.

Sherwood appears to be under pressure also which could either cause them to fall apart completely or galvanise into a more coherent unit.

Yeah the reason I'm not going for Costa is I already have Hazard and Bego, and their returns haven't exactly been spectacular. Not way I'm chancing adding a third Chelsea player to my team, regardless of the opposition. Form over fixtures and all that.

I agree. It's a tricky GW for more or less all captaincy options.

Thankfully he's the only Chelsea coverage I have which is swaying my decision as of now. It's between Costa and Pelle based on my team and i'll likely be flip flopping between the pair up until the deadline.

Another issue is the question of whether Ranieri starts Mahrez, going by his own words his team is tighter at the back without him. It could end up a low scoring game if he's benched.

So many options, yet there's lots of potential issues with each of them.

KDB or Sanchez. Both on tremendous scoring form.

Watford at home have been pretty solid up to now. So maybe this edges it towards KDB?

sanchez is a risk to be benched. was carrying a slight injury before playing 2 full internationals. back late and bayern on Tuesday.

may start but not sure he will. im going with payet

He's the league's in form striker playing at home v a team that leaks goals.

He has a bit of a bad reputation here after ruining some people's January WC. FWIW, Pelle is winning Triggerlips' poll which is usually accurate for eventual top 10k players

Yeah, I kinda want to captain him, and the stats about Leicester and crosses etc are tempting.

But I captained him against Swansea after the Jan WC last year, partly based on stats, and still have nightmares about it!!

Wenger stated yesterday that he didn't know if Sanchez would be fit to face Watford. Playing mind games with us he is. I expect Sanchez will start.

Had captaincy on him and now I'm questioning it. The amount of injuries and issues has turned this gameweek into a cluster****!

Same here. I've captained BUIB now instead (something I said I'd never do again after last season :pac:).

I'd be hugely surprised though if Sanchez wasn't in the starting lineup. He's just that kind of player that nothing bar the worst of injuries would keep him down.

Watford have conceded one goal at home in four games, that being a penalty.... I genuinely wouldn't see Sanchez as the best option this week, when you include Wenger's comments. I expect Arsenal to get the odd goal victory (1-0/2-1), but Watford will drop deep, they will frustrate Arsenal, and they will make it very difficult, they won't give Walcott the space over the top, and they sure as hell won't leave Sanchez with as much space as Leicester did. If Arsenal don't score in the opening 15, they'll struggle to score more than one.

It's more Sanchez and Arsenal's form than Watford being bad (which they've shown they aren't). I'm hoping they get caught up a bit in the late kickoff, "London" derby atmosphere and it's a bit of an open match.

I'm on KdB until I'm not.

If Pelle ends up in my team over Mane he could be a consideration.

Although Bony could be quite the maverick manoeuvre.

Stats: On Pellè at the moment.

Head: De Bruyne the sensible option.

Heart: Sanchez. 9 goals in the last 5 games in all competitions.

KDB for me. Too much uncertainty over Sanchez's involvement and I just don't trust Pelle.

Going for De Bruyne but Pelle did score midweek so there's no reason to suggest any imminent dip in form. I always balls up my captain choice.
