Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

anyone know price of day return ticket from galway to Dublin when you buy in station? see price online is €21.99 but you have to state your times - if I pick to return at 6pm but change my mind on day and want to leave at 4.30 instead can I?

a day return was 34 the last time I got the train and this would allow you to get any train that day. This was in August

Went over and back for 25 a while back. Booked online >2 weeks in advance.

About station proce and changing train times, just ring them. I don't think it's free to change times on reservations.

Bus costs E19 return ... or E10 (GoBus) / E10.50 walkup, no booking required.

    Often gets there quicker, too.

    No competition, really :-)

No to mention Free wifi on most of the bus services...

I do love taking the train but as they're not convenient for travel in the evening and so bloody expensive I pretty much always wind up on the bus....

The bus to Galway is cheaper, faster and more flexible schedule.

Also both Citylink and GoBus seem to be using all brand new 2012 coaches now whicha re very nice.

BTW while Citylink are 50 cent more expensive, I find their coaches are nicer, so worth it.
