Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Faulty Plastering

    Hi folks.

I had an engineer do a report on a 7 year old house I am interested in buying. In his report he said the house is in EXCELLENT condition EXCEPT that in his opinion, the outside plastering needs to be redone. The house has never been painted.

He described the defect as "crazy paving" and it is "extensive". He said that eventually the paster will fall off because of water getting into the cracks, freezing and expanding.

Please note that to date, NONE of the plaster has fallen off so far.

What I am wondering is if there are any other options other than stripping all the plaster? Is there, for example, a sealing compound that can be painted on? How effective is it?

Also, if there is anybody willing to give an estimate to get the house re-plastered, please PM me and I can send you pictures of the house to give you an idea of what I am talking about.

    Thanks a million folks!
