Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Medical card question

    Hi there

I applied online for a medical card and was told I qualify and to get the form signed from my GP. I was also asked to supply a copy of my P45 and a copy of a bank statement saying what my mortgage is. I have the P45 but can't seem to fine a bank statement from the last few months.

Is there anything else I can send in instead as I don't know when my next bank statement will arrive.

Also, I need to go to my GP in the next week to get a repeat prescription. Will I be covered for this or will I have to pay the 50E charge as from what I have read it takes a few weeks for the card to come through.

    Thanks in advance.

Ring your bank and they will issue you a bank statement to todays date at a charge.

Many thanks for that. I have called the bank and they are popping it in the post for me today :)

It will take 3 working days to get the statement, so I wont be able to send the form off to then.

Anyone know how long I have to actually wait to get the card and if i can see a doctor in the interim without paying 50E? If not, I think I'll just wait.

    Thanks
