Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know how you get off the electoral register when you leave Ireland? Is there a form to fill in - where does it get sent to? Thanks, JM

There doesn't seem to be a distinct process for doing this. I think you can do it by submitting a Change of Address form(RFA3) from here: http://www.checktheregister.ie/PublicPages/AppForms.aspx

If you give your new, out of country address at line 2, and your old address at line 3, then at least in theory, they should delete your old registration but not create a new one, because you won't be in a local authority area.

Alternatively, their heads might explode, but that seems to be a risk you'll have to take.

    cordially,

Seems there is someone appointed to review/update the register in each area. Spoke to the woman who does it around here and the whole thing sounded very vague. Bottom line is that there is an annual review of the register - done in the courthouse in this area - where names are added, removed etc. She says the local authority would know who is responsible for your area and all you need to do is contact them. Sounds a bit antiquated ,,,,,,,,, but perhaps it's the route to go.
