    1.Service on Gas Boiler
2.Service on Valor Dream gas fire
3.Supply and fit Water pump to boiler
4.Fit only water inlet valve to toilet

    Back again,
Scudo2 is only servicing oil burners and is currently on holidays.
    Any other recommendations?
If you need any further info like pictures of current installations etc let me know.
Also if you are not RGI then we can discuss the other jobs separately, not all work needs to be done by the same person.

Hi, don't normally post on this. Friend recommended plumber to me a few months ago and used him to replace boiler. Found him to be very good. He's RGI registered. I'll pm you his details

    Hi scudo2,
He is so at the top he does not do servicing only installations!
I emailed him as he is local but no.
He did a lot of work for my employer previously but still no.
It must be great to be able to turn down work @ €50-€99 / hr servicing boilers and gas fires.

    PM sent.

    ps. to all,
Talking to somebody on the phone is a better form of communication than email or text.
Espicaly if phone numbers are provided.
    It avoids misunderstandings.

I have opted to go for company in Cork instead of making numerous calls.
They are not the cheapest but originally fitted my gas fire so I opted for them as they are the agents for the brand.
    Thanks all for the leads.

Just make sure they don't also deliver post !!!!

+ you never mentioned the PM I sent you about the RGII plumber that I recomended, who you thought servicing was to "low" for him, (which came across a bit insulting) even though I explained that if he didn't service he'd give you names that I gave you in the second PM.
You only emailed him rather than ringing him, he would have been most helpfull if you rang him. Thats why he's one of the busyest and best plumbers I know in your area.
I'm a RGII regestered service eng./plumber, but only do oil, a lot of us specialise in different parts of our trade.

In general yes but not in some cases like mine for instance as I have a condition called APD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auditory_processing_disorder
and in 9 out of 10 cases when I talk on the phone I misinterpet things, horses for courses I guess.

Hold it now, there was no "misunderstanding" as you say.
I have met this guy previously through work and also at my home.
I never mentioned his name and I don't understand why you are on the attack!!
And what's the crack about delivering the post?
I email most people as it is easier but that should not affect you.
I am not going in get into a argument about who is the best plumbers in my area as obviously that is open to debate which I am not going to do.
By the way the best plumber Is the guy who does the job right for a fair price.
I had contacted him after the first email, was I to wait till you sent the second?
I am not going to add anymore to this thread, over and out.

Your obviously a difficult guy to deal with from reading your reply no wonder you found it hard to find someone

Remember postman/plumbers quality work at your father in laws ?

    Compaired to plumber I recommended.

Not out to cause upset, just to point out you implied servicing was to "low"for plumber I recomended.
Forgive me but I didn't know if he also did servicing, some do, some don't. Thats why I sent second PM with two othar names.
