Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Let's hope this is the last thread of the season.

This thread may not see the end of the transfer window.

How good must you be when your absence is a reason for posting?

He's that 'good' he normally has a couple of people defending his honour for him when he's not here.

From a predominantly lurkers point of view Alan's absence is a loss, irregardless of me usually not agreeing with most of what he thinks.

Different views certainly makes the thread quite wholesome, kinda like that kid who apparently ate Raheem.

Regarding Andy Carroll, do clubs have insurance on players who have to retire due to injury/substance abuse*? If not, imagine we still had him and saw £50m go down the swanny .

You do realise he didn't cost anybody £50m?

Surely he appeared on the balance sheet as a £50m asset? No?

Well, I've been following them for awhile. So I'd like to think so :P

Saw that @Boywunder lad RT it a little earlier.

    edit: Speaking of Sakho -
"I wouldn't have changed my choice for anything in the world," Sakho explained to The Guardian.

"My decision to come to Liverpool has been fantastic for me. I haven't been here very long at all but I've settled in well.

"It was always going to be hard because I've only ever known one club and been a one-club person before coming here, so that makes things a bit more difficult.

"But I've been prepared to go and ask advice from everyone - my teammates, coaches and the manager. I've asked them a lot about the game here. My family has settled in, it's going well."
